PhilaDox is Getting an Upgrade!


We're excited to announce that PhilaDox is being enhanced with a new, improved user experience! To prepare for this upgrade, we need to temporarily pause new subscription purchases and renewals.

What's Happening:
September 25-29, 2025:New subscription purchases and renewals will be temporarily unavailable as we complete the technical transition
September 29, 2025: PhilaDox launches with its fresh new interface and subscription purchasing resumes

What This Means for You:
Current subscribers: Your existing subscriptions will continue to work normally throughout this transition period
New users: Please wait until September 29th to purchase subscriptions on our upgraded platform
Expiring subscriptions: If your subscription expires during September 25-29, you can renew it starting September 29th

The Good News:
This brief pause allows us to deliver a better, more user-friendly experience while maintaining all the functionality you depend on for searching Philadelphia property records.

Philadelphia Free Public Search:

This search allows you to search by name (grantor/grantee) and address only. You will see document information (indexed data) in the database, including names and property address. You can click on a document and view a watermarked unofficial copy, which shows the recording information (e.g., recording date, etc.) and the grantor's signature. You will not be able to print the actual documents or print the indexed information without paying for a subscription. If you are filing a fraud report with us relating to possible deed or mortgage fraud, we will provide you with a free certified paper copy of your deed or mortgage in Room 154 City Hall at the time you file your report. To begin your search, select the 'Free Public Search Login' button below.

The Historical Index will be availble from the tool bar above.

Registered Users:

Enter User ID and Password, click Registered Users Login button to search and purchase documents recorded at Philadelphia Department of Records.

Access is provided via a subscription service and subscriptions for one day, one week, one month, and one year are available. Payment can be made by credit card by using either Visa or Mastercard.

Once you are registered and logged into the site. The subscriptions rate are as follows:

  • $15.00 per 24-hour day*
  • $60.00 per 7-day week*
  • $125.00 per one full month*
  • $750.00 per full year*

**The subscription clock begins at the time of purchase. For example, if a subscription for one week began on a Monday, it would end at the same time on the following Monday, 7 days later. The subscription does not track the amount of time used.
Refunds or credit for partial use of a purchased subscription period are not available.
